Welcome to my site! I'm happy you found your way here.
I've wanted to start this blog for some time. Being a relatively new wife and being a part of the progressive Gen. Z generation has made me do a deep dive into everything that pertains to being a woman. The roles, positions, and places we should have among men have been an age-old debate. But beyond the protests and picket lines, I believe that we, as women, don't even know what we want. And if we do, we fear the pushback, shame, and guilt we'll receive from the outside world.
What I do know is that we live in a fragile world. The principles we live by used to be simple and driven by a reasonably unanimous goal. The American Constitution summed up the Western World's philosophy for many generations. Yet, amendments and exceptions have refocused our world's eyes from serving God and others to being totally self-seeking. Everything is overly complicated for no good reason. I see a war being waged on families, marriages, men, and women. No matter what path you go down, there is a social shame, leaving the world in a heap of emotional, physical, and spiritual turmoil.
I know that some of my future posts may offend people, and they will be counter-cultural. But I will continuously pursue joy, satisfaction, and fulfillment from God's standard, not the world. I know the One who is the giver of all these beautiful gifts.
The greatest gift I have been given thus far is my marriage. My marriage is a living thing that needs to be watered, fed, and nurtured for its roots to run deep. In our needlessly complicated world, finding the ideal balance between a husband and wife being one seems nearly impossible. Worldly expectations and assumptions creep into the relationship where there's no room. And sometimes, secular expectations disguise themselves as religious principles that lead us down paths of fake fulfillment.
With each post on my blog, I strive to uplift and honor women, specifically wives, in their walk with the Lord. The first step in replacing complicated expectations of wives is with the simplicity of biblical truth.
If you are a wife, don't let the negativity of this failing world be the heartbeat of your marriage. The power and responsibility that God has placed within women put us at the helm of the world's future. Diligence in the small steps prepares us for a future of rich rewards.
Come along with me on this journey to pursue the ultimate joy and satisfaction of a Godly wife.
And remember this piece of encouragement; marriage, children, and this world will present us with complicated problems. But living simply in God's word will carry you through life's storms. Prepare for those storms by building small daily habits, healthy homes, and confidence in your role as a wife. Christ's love is so simple that even a child can understand it. The world is complicated, but life in Christ is full of clarity, peace, and understanding.
